Since moving to Nottingham I've become so appreciative of where I'm from. Yorkshire. It is stunningly beautiful. I'm so proud of my roots and I wouldn't change them for the world.
This weekend, myself and Mark went to Ilkley moor, to a place known as Cow and Calf cliffs.
It's amazing. If you get the chance to go, I strongly recommend you do, it's fantastic. Me and Mark took some beautiful pictures.

There's a fairly tame winding path up to the rock face and when you get to the top it's super easy to climb up onto the "cliff". When you do climb up, you're in for such a surprise. Upon the rocks are hundreds- maybe thousands- of carvings in the rock. When I say carvings I mean proper hammer and chisel job! It's so surreal. Name after name carved into the rock, most with year dates, some even from the 1800's. It's breathtaking and I actually found it quite moving. These people immortalised here, in this beautiful Yorkshire setting, forever. Their carvings there, for all to see, for years and years, standing the test of time against that good old British weather. It's amazing.

What a gorgeous day in Yorkshire. I hope there are many more days like this. Cosy night in after a cold day on the moors with home made carbonara and cherry pie.
PERFECT.
